Myself and Quinn went down to Santa Ana to see Joe and the guy’s at Franco Shade and shoot a vidcast as well as skate. As you know may or may not know a lot has been changing at Franco so look out for the full low down. (Thanks a lot to Quinn for shooting the edit – and that fisheye you see is the old VG fisheye so you know it should be tight haha) In fact I have skated more since I have been in LA than in the last two months I was in England it has been great! So thing’s are starting to come together and we have filmed a lot of tight stuff for another skating vidcast coming soon. We are trying to fix the site to bring you this new Franco vidcast on Monday, but we also have more video and audio content planned. If you would like to contribute, help out in any way or feel you have something you would like to add please leave us a comment below. We also have a feedback tab on the left hand side where you can add your opinion to topics people would like addressing on Revival. I will try to bring more updates soon but the aim is to get you this content firstly. Sorry for the messy new website but hopefully you you read this I will have fixed it up how I inteded.

So today I was super juiced to see our new Revival Stickers had arrived courtesy once again of JOHN PLAXTON at Outerlimitz (Thanks so much John!) So keep an eye out at your favorite park or spot for them. Soon we will hook up a good way for you guy’s out in internet land to get hold of them to represent!

While on the subject of John and Outerlimitz I would like to mention we will be giving away some SICK items in the coming weeks from his DEVISE Wheel project. Devise was started out of necessity in 2000 after needing not only a wheel brand out in Australia but one that could hold up well on all forms of aggressive skating. After early faults were assessed the core was re-engineered with a trapezium profile and now top skaters and amatures alike are rocking out the latest edition wheels to the max!

Luckily for us and for you we have some of these sick wheels to giveaway but also some of the really slick looking softgoods. I have posted a picture of some of the wheels which I am rocking right now and I suggest if your in need of a new set you take these into consideration. Be sure to check out the Outerlimitz site and you know you are going to get the best service as John is really holding it down for the Aussie scene and helping to put Revival out to all corners of the globe.

So be sure to check out our stickers and Devise in the near future. We show the latest 10 links on the sidebar of the site. Under these you can now see another link to our page as well as how many fans we have (people viewing us on their network) and an option to add us to your network. This means that on your page of del.icio.us you can add people you know or user’s with links your into so you can easily see them in one place (for example check my personal network page where I have revival added) Now this means you can easily see when we have new links up for a new show but also it will work for you to help us…

Del.icio.us also allows people to tag links for another user – such as you the listener to show us links you feel we should check out or view. This is very simple to do, firstly del.icio.us is one of the most simple tools to use – it’s online bookmarking at it’s finest. We at revival have an incoming page with links for us – now all you have to do is post a link onto your del.icio.us as normal but add the tag for:revival (see here for more). This special tag will mean we will see that link in our links for us page.

You can always email us links and information still, but we always like to stay with technology and give you the listeners the chance to interact with us in a variety of ways such as del.icio.us and flickr. You may or may not have noticed we now have a flickr group for revival which is showcasing some great rollerblading photography from all over the globe! We have edited the website slightly to show the latest four photographs in the group on the sidebar. Flickr is a free photography hosting website and it offers a lot more than the basic image hosting site, it’s all free and you can find out all about flickr here. When you have an account you can submit any images you like, it’s really easy to just send your rolling snaps into the revival group pool. In the future we will be bringing this into the podcast more with photo of the week and hopefully some nice prizes!

We also have a lot more new features and things to come on Revival in the next few weeks and months so stay tuned to for it all! The new show is recorded and will be live in the next few days, don’t forget if you have any news or would like to let us know what you think just drop us a mail on the contact page.

Last week we completed episode 3, which was a very quirky show. I personally didn’t feel very together and although the show did come out good, I can’t help the desire to make it better each and every time. We’ve also had lots of comments about the length of the show. We’d love to keep it under 30 minutes, but we’d loose out on some news as our guests take up the majority of our time. How do you guys feel about that?

Revival is also steadily moving up the iTunes charts. Would you like to see rolling rep’ed in the top 100 sports podcasts? Then subscribe on iTunes and help Revival get up! It’s all about exposure!

I just got off the phone with Jon Julio, who’ll be our featured guest for episode 4. He’s agreed to come on the show and talk to us about the great stuff he’s doing with Valo and Empire. I really admire Jon’s dedication, so it’s great that he’s coming on the show. As a host and interviewer, it’s important that I remember that Jon is just a skater like you and me. True, he’s an icon in our sport, but a skater non the less. I have to go think up some good questions now; I’d like to be prepared this time.
